Prices go down... Lamisil (R) [Terbinafin]

Generic competition entered for this anti-fungal drug used treating fungal toenail and fingernail infections a few weeks back.

A look at prices being quoted for this drug:

Lamisil, Novartis’s original branded version was for approx. $300 a month.
Walgreens' --> $262 [approx.]
Drugstore.com --> $49 [approx.]
Costco --> $21 [approx.]

and now the treat:
Wal-Mart --> $4 generic version.

In all, the company said its $4 generic plan would now total 361 prescriptions, an increase of about 30 prescriptions. Because those include different formulations of the same compound, the number of different drugs in the program is actually less than 160.
